from 19 reviewsMy dog loves this and gets excited to use it! My dog now associates this toy with positivity which is why we used it as part of his crate training. The fabric is durable and my dog has fun using it. This toy is worth the money!

There are lots of snuffle mats out there, all of which provide enrichment for your pup while slowing their feeding down. We chose this one because it has a suction cup on the bottom, as well as the non-skid nubs. No cheating! Our smart dogs would simply flip over or fling a small mat like this, defeating the purpose. This one has a single big suction cup on the bottom. So we stick it to the tile floor and no more flipping. It’s a good size, adjustable, and is machine washable. It is surprisingly durable, although our dogs are not particularly hard on their toys and feeders. We rotate between small snuffle feeders like this one, and the larger fold-out snuffle mat with a variety of different areas/challenges in one mat. The price has actually come down on this one since we purchased, so we’ll be getting another one.

Wow! This is great! This keeps my pup so occupied! I think 1/2 of his food in the morning and at night is going in this. I can literally walk away and go in another room and he doesn’t care. Definitely worth the money! If you have a clingy pup and a fast eater, this is the ticket.

I broke my hip and needed something so my lab could use his sniffer and occupy a little time. This has done the job and you can throw in washing machine

This snuffle mat has been the perfect thing for my 18 year old dog. He doesn't get excited about much anymore, but he is always ready to have treats in this matt. I even put it in the washing machine to clean it after severa months of use, and it came out looking like new.

My dog loves this mat. Something different from her plastic puzzles.

Bought this for a young Golden Retriever. He loves it. It’s a nice activity for him and it also helps if you have a fast eater. Would recommend supervision though if your pet is a “chewer”

This is advertised for dogs, but it’s also a great way to keep your cats entertained too. My one cat is treat-driven so he catches on quickly. My other couldn’t be bothered. Just got it today, and I pointed at the mat and said “treats”. He knows the word. Also, this comes with a training clicker… I plan on using it, or at least try to. My cat obeys ”sit” for treats as well, maybe the clicker can help with more commands!

My cats and dogs both absolutely love play time with this mat! They enjoy finding the treats we hide in it. Just do not leave your dog unsupervised with this. They will tear pieces off and eat them. My dogs are bigger and I found the pieces in their feces. A puppy or smaller dog this could be a choking hazard if they get pieces off and you don't see it. My dogs got pieces off and I was watching them. Just be mindful the pieces will come off. Could be potential choking hazard for children as well if they find the brightly colored pieces on the floor. Enjoy with care, we definitely do!

It works great as a slow feeder and an enrichment toy. It is great that it can just be washed in a washing machine. I used to use an old towel that I would put treats in and scrunch up but this is definitely a step up! when you aren't using it you can make it small with the drawstring. Also, my puppy loves to chew things but she has NOT tried to rip this up yet which is great. Also when I ordered, I didn't even see it came with a little training clicker but that works great too! It is loud and has a little wrist band so you can have your hands free when training. I have taught my puppy most of her tricks with this clicker!

My young dog is on heart worm cage restriction. I alternate feeding her with kibble and canned. I put kibble mixed with treats in this. She love this. It always takes her awhile. I have yet to wash it ,however, this is not a felt product. She does not slobber on it so the sections stand up so nicely. Also the sections are attached in such a way that I can really stuff her kibble down in them so she really has to work at getting them out. I also have no trepidation in leaving her alone with this. This is a great product. Thank you.

Our pup loves it! We’ve used for 2 meals so far & here’s what we observed: he was engaged and “snuffling” for the next piece of kibble instead of gobbling food down; the mat grippers on the back did hold the mat in place even with his excitement; and the little pockets & flaps on the corners were the first places he went for. The straps let you fill with kibble and snap closed for easy, no-spill transport to another room or area for feeding. If you are using the corner flaps or pockets, put those treats in place after the mat is in its final area for feeding. This is a big mat, but it folds up small for storage and it gives him more places to look. It is lightweight, but sewn together well. Will update this review after washing to let you know how it holds up.Good purchase and Bo, our border collie, and it slows his eating even more than the spiral dish we usually use.

I have tried other food puzzles to engage my dog. Each time, she would "solve" them in seconds and then look at me like, "What do you think I am? A stupid cat?" (Full disclosure: my cats tortured her so she doesn't have a high opinion of cats.)The snuffle mat is a great idea as both a puzzle for your dog and a means to slow down rapid eating. She really enjoys looking for morsels of hard food. The no-skid surface on the bottom won't prevent it from moving, though. I placed it on a rug. She can still move it. I imagine it would be the same on the hardwood floors. And, one person who saw it commented that a dog could easily pick it up and sling food everywhere. The material could also tear if you have an aggressive eater. Consider your dog's habits.Otherwise, it is a good product that is priced well and is easy to clean (just toss it in the washer).
